Current Projects

Set in the heart of Western Pennsylvania, where stamina is revered and sports are king, The Road Runs Higher is a coming-of-age tale that serves up inspiration in the style of RUDY and FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. The novel has been completed and work is underway to adapt the story to a screenplay.

Under Construction

Ms. Mabee is currently at work on a literary novel entitled June Passing. The story follows a young girl's efforts to care for her younger sister when their mother abandons them to a distant father and his abusive aunt.

"What memories I have of my mother are few. They come, but then are lifted like clutter on a windswept walkway, swirling up into funnels of awakening before fleeting, skittering, tumbling along stretches of dusty forgetfulness just beyond my reach."
